Poems of Devotion

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles,

so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God”

2 Corinthians: 3-4

Believe in a world where every child and adult needs can be met. Helping physical, and spiritual needs. Teaching in Holy Spirit. Word of God.

The Baby

Though he is just a baby,
He sees with clarity of vision,
Knowing exactly what he wants
Seeing exactly where he wants to be,
He crawls in unwavering determination,
Towards the only goal in his sight,
The only goal worth chasing after
According to the wishes of his
Heart, beating pure and strong

Lord, I want to be that little baby
With the single focus on what
Matters the very most in this life,
I want a heart that beats with
The pureness of an innocent child
And the strength of Niagara Falls,
I want the unquenchable determination
That drives my spirit to seek the Truth
And never give up until I master it

The ultimate hope: Salvation
My greatest thought: Jesus
My favorite dream: Eternal Life
My future: with GOD forever

The Beckoning

The Lighthouse stands firmly on the rock,
It’s searching Light reaching far and wide
Beckoning me with a welcoming brightness,
Bathing me in its protective brilliance

The Light reveals to us the pounding rocks
Along the shoreline that challenges Christians
the heed to call on the Father and the need
For Christian fellowship within the family of GOD

The call, so soft yet undeniably audible, reaches
Out to those who have heard the beckoning of
The awe inspiring Lighthouse Keeper,
And to those yet to be save by the Light

Packed and Ready To Go

My bags are packed
And I’m ready to go,
Ready to get away,
Seeking some peace
In a place all my own,
To gather my thoughts,
Sort thru my future goals,
Decide on the best route
To reach the destination
Laid out ahead of me,
Plans made and decided
Partly by my own actions
But determined by my Father,
My GOD who knows what is best
For the life He desires that
I am to fully experience,
My bags are packed
And I’m ready to get
Started on this new road

For our trying times:

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
    will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
    my God, in whom I trust.”

 Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
 He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
    nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
    nor the plague that destroys at midday.
 A thousand may fall at your side,
    ten thousand at your right hand,
    but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
    and see the punishment of the wicked.

 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
    and you make the Most High your dwelling,
 no harm will overtake you,
    no disaster will come near your tent.
 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
    you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

Psalm 91
